Illustrator Lauren Marx has always been passionate about animals. Ever since she was little, she has been fascinated by them and they are her subject of choice whenever she would draw. She has spent a lot of her time in the Saint Louis Zoo in Missouri, and watching National Geographic Channel’s Mutual of Omaha which influenced a lot of her animal illustrations. She also tried to learn more about animals through biology while in school and began collecting bones, feathers and books about her favorite subject.
She exhibits her passion for animals through her illustration series called “Galactic Collision,” and has been working on it since 2012. Her works presents intricately detailed visions of different animals in a kind of eerie yet beautiful state. See for yourself and be amazed below.
